Class gathering to build community, trust and address social and emotional learning needs of learners
Students connect with peers; both in person and at home to build com- munity, connections and bring joy to learning. Stu- dents at school will join the meeting in person.

Morning Meeting
Teacher-led interactive read-aloud
Students actively listen and engage in whole class discourse.
Students actively listen (via Zoom) and may respond through jotting or dis- course. Students watch brief instructional videos of the same content being taught at school posted to their Google Classroom or See- saw. Students independent- ly apply taught strategies at home using their Chrome- books or in small groups via Zoom. Students receive specialized instruction (e.g. special education, SRBI, Idea) or participate in small group instruction via Zoom. Students may also work
Daily Read Aloud
Instructional Blocks - (e.g. Reading, Writing, Word Study, Math, Science and Social Studies)* Priority will be given to Literacy and Math Instruction
Explicit instruction and modeling followed by small group/independent practice (i.e., students work alone or in a small group with their teacher)
Students actively listen and participate in guid- ed practice with teacher support and feedback. Students practice ap- plying taught strategies independently, some- times conferring with the teacher or participating in small group instruction.
