Middle School Overview (6 - 8) - (CONTINUED)

Student Engagement 1. Orientation: Prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, we will hold a student boot camp to review the remote schedule, participation expectations, grades, and technology tools.

2. Extra-Help: We have included teacher office hours/extra-help as a part of our Flex Schedule.

3. Social/Emotional Learning: In an effort to keep students connected to one another and to facilitate awareness and understanding about developmentally appropriate topics, students will participate in Advisory during Flex. 4. School Counselors: Office hours (posted on grade-level Google Classrooms) and group meetings will continue throughout remote learning. In addition, as a part of the Flex schedule, the counselors will collaborate with the classroom teachers on student lessons targeting organization and study skills. 5. Academic Center: The program’s after-school hours will continue throughout remote learning in order to provide small group homework help.
