REMOTE LEARNING
During full remote learning, the elementary school day will begin at 8:45 and end at 3:15. The charts on the following pages describe the learning segment, what to expect from the teacher, and what to expect for remote learners throughout the day. A specific schedule will be made available by classroom teachers indicating the times for each learning segment. Families should plan for a full day of learning Monday- Thursday. The Friday schedule will begin at 8:45 and end at 12:45 for elementary students in order to allow for professional learning and teacher collaboration.

Instructional Read Aloud
Direct Teaching - Models a new strategy through a live or prerecorded demonstration followed by live instructions and clarifications for independent practice. Independent Practice - Monitors students work, and provides differentiated strategies through small groups or one on one conferences. Checks in with the whole class for clarification or extension as needed.

Reading Workshop
Independent Practice - Applies new strategy in coordination with past teaching
Recap - Reinforces, extends or remediates new strategy of the day.
